Our Students

Dean’s teaching philosophies have been strongly influenced by Bob Toski. As an instructor, Dean Reinmuth is most recognized for developing his Swing Shaping System. This instruction approach, which he uses with the PGA Tour Players and amateur golfers alike, focuses on making slight adjustments to the golfer’s own natural swing, as opposed to completely changing it. This "reshaping" approach allows golfers to hit their best shots more often while improving the quality of those occasional "miss-hits." He has authored thousands of instructional articles in major golf publication throughout his career.

Among the students he has worked with are Dave Stockton, Dave Stockton, Jr, Scott Verplank, Rory Sabbatini, Grant Waite, Ricky Barnes, Hee Won Han, Jaco Van Zyl, Jordon Cox and Phil Mickelson (beginning at age 13) to name a few. Phil was a three-time NCAA Champion, 1990 U.S. Amateur Champion and winner of the 1991 Northern Telecom Tucson Open as an amateur. As a PGA Tour player under Dean, Phil had won 13 events and over $7,000,000 in prize money. Dean has worked with champions at all levels including the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, Senior PGA Tour, Canadian Tour, U.S. Amateurs, Collegiate and Juniors
